In the “browse” window there’s a sidebar with a tree of searche queries. When clicking on a query the list of notes/cards updates.
But when navigating the sidebar using the up/down arrow keys, the list does not update.
Note how in this screenshot the 3rd flag is selected in the sidebar, but the search query still says “flag:1”:

I asked the same some time ago, this is by design.

Ah, I see, one can press ENTER to then “run” a selected query.
It was unexpected for me, because usually clicking on a UI list item is the same as selecting it with the keyboard.
