When I try and use the ‘text alignment’ button, I can’t left-align the text until I click one of the other alignment buttons.
(Text is automatically center-aligned on my version.)
It’s not exactly a bug. The text is centered on your cards because your card templates/Styling have it set to be that way. It appears left-aligned in the note editor because there is no other formatting applied there.
If you want text for that field (in all of your notes/cards) or text for all fields of your notes/cards to be left-aligned when you study, the easiest place to change that is on the note type that makes your cards.
There are 3 spots where Styling and formatting can be applied. The usual and most efficient places to have that formatting are #1 and #2.
- The Styling for your note type, where classes of formatting can be defined overall for all of the cards, or for specific cards, or specific parts of cards.
- The card templates themselves call those classes defined in styling, but they can also contain formatting for specific field replacements.
- Formatting in the text of a specific note is controlled in the note editor by the editing toolbar. You might need to open the HTML view (click
< > above the field) to see it in the field.
