AnkiMobile bulk import

Hi,
I am trying to figure out if it is possible to bulk import via .csv or .txt to the mobile app.
I found this message from a user saying it was possible, and from a developer saying the functionality has been added. but i do not see any documentation and cannot reproduce the described behavior.
" 1. I downloaded the .txt file
2. I clicked on it in the download tab in Safari
3. It automatically opened in Anki, allowing me to alter the settings before importing the cards in bulk"
forums dot ankiweb dot net/t/anki-on-ios-how-to-import-a-csv-file-into-the-app/21658/4
does anyone know if this functionality exists and how to do it?
thanks,
Kevin

Yes, text/CSV import is supported in AnkiMobile. If the file doesn’t automatically open in AnkiMobile, you can click “Open in” and select AnkiMobile – Shared Decks - AnkiMobile Manual

Make sure the CSV is properly formatted so Anki can recognize what you want – Text Files - Anki Manual .

Thanks so much for the quick response. I see it does work for .csv, but will not automatically open for .txt files (I dont get the option to open in Anki) - but for my purposes .csv is perfect. Thanks!
