Anki Desktop Error window opens everytime I try to click on something. Checking database (as instructed by anki Error Pop-up window) does not work

Hello! Greetings!

Since today, every time I open the Anki application on my laptop I get an error window that opens and asks me to either use Tool > check database and if it does not work to copy a message on my clipboard and paste it on this forum.
This is the said message:

An error occurred. Please use Tools > Check Database to see if that fixes the problem.
If problems persist, please report the problem on our support site. Please copy and paste the information below into your report.
