I seen him constantly at top, so it’s be bug. Also total 11.7/h avarage per day. If I was dev I would put him to #1 spot for the effort.
If he really wanted to cheat, he wouldn’t spend 12 hours on Anki. You can cheat with much less effort. He would do something like mkirmani—review 6,000 cards in just 1.2 hours. Daily.
I plan to add that function later. The current leaderboard is a completely separate system from the previous one, the reason for this is to support the growing number of users. For now it is needed to change the Sort in the lower right corner of the leaderboard and restart the leaderboard. To do this quickly and sort instantly I need to develop a reload button, please wait. (it is possible to optionally return to the original simple leaderboard)
Oh actually that works too. I didn’t know that sort function existed because it only shows on the Global tab and I only ever look at my group tab. Thanks!
Hello, My Username is Sulli and I am from France, I am trying to contact you because of the leagues leaderboard. I have a bug, I am classed in the gamma league since Monday and studied every day since the start, but I don’t understand why my “days studied” is about 66%, so I went from A+ (160 & lvl 13) to B ( 752 & lvl 11).
Hi a quick suggestion: It would be really cool if the leaderboard could show achievements for the people I have added as friends or maybe optionally also on a group-level. Like when a friend (or somebody in my group) completes a 100 day streak I would get a popup like I currently already get for my own streaks. I think that could add some extra motivation for people to reach streaks and keep doing Anki.
The window version leaderboard (not the Home Leaderboard) already has a bit of a similar feature, when users achieve streaks an emoji is displayed next to the number ( or ). The popup is more intuitive so it might be better as you said.
I think GOAT guy is obviously cheating. He says in bio that he is med student. But they can’t afford to use anki 12h / day whole year around constantly. You have lectures, exams, practices, workshops, clinical placements. When you have time to do all that shit.
All reporting, discussion, and casual talk about cheating is currently prohibited, please note that ignoring these will result in you being banned or blocked. For the reason and how to handle it please read the Wiki. Leaderboard Wiki: Q. A user is cheating, what should I do?
Hello, I noticed that my green bar doesnt show up. What could be some possible reasons? I finished all of my cards for the day but still shows a red bar.
The green bar is the average for the past month. If today’s review count exceeds the past average it turns green, so if you’ve done a lot of reviews in the past the bar turns red.
I am trying to figure out at what time the new season actually starts for a particular user (for me, actually). The problem is, when I compare statistics on my device for the last 2 days with that on the leaderboard/league, the latter shows a significantly lower result for me.
It looks almost like the season for me didn’t start until I logged on the leaderbord on my computer, which happened Monday evening (my time is UTC+3). But according to the documentation, it could not be the case, the season should start at 0.00 for all users.
As far as I noticed before, the statistics further in the season shows correctly, but the starting point is so far unclear to me. What might be the matter?
upd. Forgot to mention that I have to use VPN to reach the Leaderboard (I don’t think it’s relevant to the issue, but still).
Hi lena1, Global scores on the leaderboard and native Anki statistics are calculated at 4:00 the next day (default), but Leagues are calculated at 0:00 so the numbers will differ.
The league requires reviews of at least 5 minutes / day, if the value is below that threshold it will not be calculated.
The add-on checks for league starts every 6 hours (for now) so there may be a delay of a few hours before the league begins, in this case restarting Anki will trigger the check immediately. (it does not affect your score either way)
Thanks for the feedback, Shigeyuki. And I’d like to take the opportunity to thank you for supporting this add-on and many others as well!
However, there is something wrong with my scores, not only in the league competition. I checked out my stats in Anki. In the last 31 days I did 21,078 reviews (yes, I have to review a lot of stuff currently). The same metric on the Leaderboard shows 16,314 reviews.
Not that it were a vital question but there seems to be a bug somewhere :))
The leaderboard excludes cards with a 0 review time, so if you use “Set Due Date” or “Grade Now” those will not be included in the calculation.
Edit: Also if you’ve changed the next day’s start time in Anki’s Preferences you’ll need to set the time in the leaderboard’s Config. (Leaderboard config → Settings tab → The next day starts)
Yes, this is probably the case, I use “Preview” and then “Grade now” quite often. But on the other hand, if the leaderboard had excluded all such reviews, their number would have been higher than 5K for 31 days. Could it happen, that some of the cards which I reviewed by “Grade now”, were counted? for example, could they take several split seconds to be graded?
As far as I know the previewer does not track time so all time values should be 0 and excluded so I don’t know why the values don’t match the actual numbers for now.
One reason I currently exclude GradeNow and SetDueDate based on time is that these features are often used for batch processing of cards (e.g. postponing many cards at once, 1000+ cards) so including these in the calculation can cause scores to spike unexpectedly without the user intending it.
If you frequently use the previewer and GradeNow without using batch processing I think it’s fine to disable this time threshold, but I haven’t developed an option for this yet so I think it will take a little while.
