Accidentally overwrote AnkiWeb

Hello here! Hope everyone is doing well, and that I am posting this in the right category!

Won’t be the first nor the last but I have sadly overwritten my AnkiWeb collection at about 13:00 today (25/10/2026) with an older version of the deck (accidentally clicked Upload to Ankiweb and not From Ankiweb) and have sadly no way to retrieve the previous version. Upon research, I’ve read that it was possible to ask here for a rollback to a previous version of AnkiWeb’s state, is it indeed the case? As a note, my Anki is linked to the same email address as this account, if that helps.

While reverting to a server-side backup is sometimes possible, it’s rarely preferable. Can you talk me through what versions of your collection you have where and which was the most recent? Did you have changes – edits, updates, review history, etc. – on AnkiWeb that were only on AnkiWeb, and had never been present on any of the desktop or Android devices you sync with your account?
