Hi everyone!
If you study many different subjects/decks in Anki, you’ve probably run into this: dozens of decks all show up “due” at the same time, and there’s no way to tell which one is actually the most overdue without opening each one manually.
I built Review Urgency to solve exactly that.
What it does
It organizes your decks/subdecks into an expandable tree, sorted by how urgent each one really is — not just “due today”, but “how close to being forgotten”.
The urgency score combines:
- Relative lateness vs. each card’s interval (20 days late on a 10-day interval is very different from 20 days late on a 300-day interval)
- Historical difficulty (ease factor)
- Response time, compared to your personal average per deck
- Recent trend (are your last few answers on a card getting better or worse?)
- FSRS, if you use that scheduler — it factors in the retrievability estimate FSRS already calculates
Features
- Expandable deck tree with color-coded urgency (critical / warning), plus a hover tooltip breaking down exactly why each deck scored the way it did
- Minimum urgency filter, so you can jump straight to what’s critical
- “Study now” button that opens the exact deck/subdeck you clicked
- Full PT/EN interface
- Runs 100% locally — nothing from your collection is ever sent anywhere

This is a first release — if something doesn’t match your expectations, or you have ideas for improvements, there’s a Feedback tab built right into the add-on, or just reply here. Open source (AGPL3).
If it ends up being useful to you, there’s an optional support section in the About tab (Ko-fi/PayPal/Pix) — totally optional, the add-on works fully without it.
