While learning Ukrainian, I came across Language Jones on YouTube, which led me to the Fluent Forever book and ultimately to Anki. I wanted a low-friction way to add images to cards that didn’t take me completely out of the loop. Playing “spot the difference” between language-specific Google Image searches seems really valuable to me.
So I wrote an add-on that gives me just the amount of automation I wanted, which isn’t much. It opens a country-specific Google Image search for your word and lets you drag an image straight back into
the card.
