I lost all my cards because I didn’t use the account for some time. I got emails in March 2026 that all cards would be deleted, and I didn’t check them. I also change devices, so I don’t have any local backups for Anki. I need my cards now for studying. Is there anything I can do to restore those cards? I saw on the forum that someone can help me retrieve. I did use both the Anki web and app. It’s just my computer broke, and I didn’t save my Anki cards.

Generally when data is removed from an account, that includes the server-side backups. However there is one that was retained in your account – from October 2025. [Just like a local automatic backup, that does not include any media attached to your collection.] If you want me to restore it to your AnkiWeb account, please confirm.

My account is the same email as the anki forum. I just changed my email address today for my anki web account.
If the email address is the same for both, then yes, as I said above, that’s the account I’m already looking at. You don’t need to do anything else to confirm your address, because you’ve already confirmed it to register in the Forum.
I’ve restored that backup version. On your next sync, you’ll need to select download from AnkiWeb.
