Is it possible to move audio content to another field without having to look up the audio file?

I have a note with a field supposed to contain spoken text. When I erroneously put the audio into the wrong field using copy & paste, can I correct that with the node editor or the browser, or must I re-enter the audio anew, for example by identifying the audio file in the operating system and dragging it into the right field from there?

A copy-paste (or cut-paste) of the “sound” tag in the note add/edit window should work fine. Same goes for any attached file. Anki has already added the file to your collection.media folder, so you can use that same media anywhere in your collection.

You are right.
I remember having tried that years ago, but it did not work for some reason. And I never tried it again ;.(
