Exporting cards (.apkg) converts to PDF

Hi Anki Family - Every time I try to export Anki files (.apkg) to my desktop, the file automatically gets converted to PDF when it should be (.apkg). Does anyone know why this happens.

Is it possible you just accidentally associated .apkg files with your PDF viewer, so it’s showing up with a PDF icon? As far as I’m aware, Anki does not have the ability to write out PDF files except in the stats window, unless maybe you installed some kind of add-on.

Hi Sobjornstad - Thanks for replying. I’m sure it’s somehow accidentally associated to pdf viewer, however I don’t know how to change it. When I installed Anki on a new computer this problem started happening. Do you know any solutions?
