Error message occurs/wont go away when using anki desktop

When I open Anki desktop it runs for about 30 seconds before an error message pops up (cited in quotation marks below). I have tried restarting the program/my laptop, and checked database as instructed. I do have my anki synced to my iPad/iphone so wondering if this may have something to do with it. I have had a look through pre-existing chats/questions but what I have tried doesn’t seem to work. Anki still functions on my iPad and phone, however I make most of my flashcards on my laptop so would be great if someone could offer some support.

This is a known issue with this old version (not being able to handle all flags). Please update.
