Error deleting note from browser

Error when deleting note from browser

  • do review
  • open browser, and search for the card currently displayed in review window
  • delete that card from the browser
  • return to review screen
  • error message appears

Message is:
An error occurred. Please start Anki while holding down the shift key, which will temporarily disable the add-ons you have installed.

If the issue only occurs when add-ons are enabled, please use the Tools>Add-ons menu item to disable some add-ons and restart Anki, repeat until you discover the add-on that is causing the problem.

When you’ve discovered the add-on that is causing the problem, please report the issue on the add-ons section of our support site.

occurs on anki version 2.1.49 and newer versions

One user was able to solve a very similar issue by changig the video driver.

It hasn’t solved the issue for me :frowning:

I disabled all my add ons and none of them was causing the problem, maybe it’s a glitch in the system?

I can’t seem to reproduce this in 2.1.54 - when the card is deleted in the browse screen, the review screen automatically greys out and refreshes when you return to it.

It continued to happen, on and off (but less frequently).

It has not happened at all on version 2.1.55… not yet (?).

It is still on my watch list. As soon as I find a culprit, i will post the steps.
