I would like to suggest adding a collapsible/expandable deck feature to AnkiWeb. This would allow users to hide or show subdecks and deck groups as needed, making the interface cleaner and easier to navigate.
For users with many decks, the current list can become quite long and overwhelming. The ability to collapse decks would improve organization, reduce visual clutter, and help users focus on the decks they are currently studying. It would also make AnkiWeb more consistent with the usability features available in the desktop application.
In Ankiweb, I have to press PageDown 59 times to scroll through the entire list But they won’t make a website. Besides the website, I also use AnkiDroid; I wouldn’t mind something more user-friendly either.
Of course, people have made an add-on somewhere, but for myself, I simply changed the deck name to 001_ so it would be the first one, since I don’t need to learn a lot of different decks.
I think they are intentionally limiting AnkiWeb’s features. The free AnkiWeb server (e.g. deck sync, shared decks) is developed and maintained solely through revenue generated by the iOS version of AnkiMobile ($24.99), also the official Anki is funded by this revenue. If AnkiWeb alone were to become capable of replacing the mobile or desktop version it would likely eliminate revenue from the iOS app and make the development and maintenance of the server unsustainable. (but I’m not affiliated with the official Anki so I don’t know exactly.)
But they won’t make a website. Besides the website, I also use AnkiDroid; I wouldn’t mind something more user-friendly either.
