Chemistry reactions

Hello. This might be an oddly specific request.

So like, how do people code reactions in cards? Do people use pictures or code it? I prefer coding because it looks cleaner, but I’ve encountered a problem. I enclose the reactions in latex, and use ‘\rightarrow’ to separate reactants and products. Which is fine for simpler reactions, but I don’t how to add the catalyst above the arrow. So…any ideas?

(Do keep in mind that I’m relatively new to Anki and my knowledge of coding is limited.)

For simple LaTeX, use \xrightarrow[under]{over}.

Besides, it’s recommended to use mhchem package instead of using \text, \mathrm or \rightarrow.

Hey, that works perfectly, thank you!

I’ll be sure to check the package out, thanks for the reference.
