How can I make AwesomeTTS stop pausing briefly over and over again after parentheses, commas, periods, and other punctuation marks?
I want the addon to just straight away read out the text without any regard for punctuation and to just start immediately.
I don’t think AwesomeTTS is causing that. It’s going to be based on what TTS service/voice you are using.
But “ignoring pauses after punctuation” is not generally how TTS is meant to function. High quality TTS services/voices work to make sure their speech sounds natural. Many/Most of them have modifiers for things like speed – but I don’t know about punctuation. You’ll have to look into the service/voice you’re using and see if it has settings to dumb-down the reading.
