Allow configuring DR for each deck in a preset

Another alternative: deck-specific DR only affects “this deck” not its subdeck.

Isn’t that the same as “doesn’t override”?

It would be good to give some time for discussion before voting.

If you need Deck-specific DR not only for Deck but also for its subdeck, then: set Deck-specific DR for Deck and use “Save to Akk Subdecks”. This will set the Deck-specific DR for all subdecks.

You can always change your vote

This example is not realistic. It’s impossible to set a deck-specific DR for deck B from preset A if preset A is not applied to deck B.

In Jarrett’s example, all decks concerned have the same preset. Consider the following simplified example.

We have deck A::B::C (all having preset A).

The DR of preset A is 90%
The deck-specific DR of deck B is 80%.

Now, what should be the DR of deck C?

It’s unlikely, but someone might have such a situation.

We have deck A::B::C (A and B having preset A, C having preset B).

The DR of preset A is 90%
The DR of preset B is 70%
The deck-specific DR of deck B is 80%.

Now, what should be the DR of deck C?

You can make this a poll so that people can vote on this too.

To phrase it in a different way - do we want deck-specific DR to “propagate” all the way down through multiple subdecks or not?
Like, if you have deck A with a subdeck B with a subsubdeck C…etc., should per-deck DR affect the entire chain of subdecks if they all have the same preset?

There should be an option just like the “Limits start from top”.

Makes sense. And we can reuse “Limits start from top” without making a new setting.
If “Limits start from top” is enabled, then here the answer should be 80%, if disabled - 90%.

DR and limits are two unrelated things. It would be strange to make one switch for them.

Maybe replace the word “limits” with some other word?

I see no reason why users using “Limits start from top” would want a different behavior from “deck-specific DR” compared to users not using “Limits start from top”.
This issue should be postponed until the implementation of the “deck-specific DR”.

This issue should be postponed until the implementation of the “deck-specific DR”.

But this is a part of implementing per-deck DR, hence why Jarrett wanted a poll.

It seems like some folks are looking at this like daily limits – which do have an effect on parent/subdecks. But it should be treated like parameters and nearly everything else in Options – whatever is assigned to the subdeck the card is actually in is what controls.

90% – from the preset, since no deck-specific DR has been set.

70% – from its own preset.

No. And no switch, or anything else. (That’s not what the “limits start from top” switch does anyway.)

The majority voted for the “no subdecks” approach, where per-deck DR only affects the parent deck. So that’s what will be implemented.
