A question about the amount of fields and performance

I know next to nothing about software engineering, but if I remember correctly it was written somewhere that you shouldn’t have a huge amount of decks because it can affect performance.

I’m wondering if you have a lot of of fields in a note, is there a limit where performance might take a hit? (For example a dozen to two dozen.)

Each field will make things a bit slower, but a few dozen should be fine.
