# Why are my newest cards being shown first?

I want to view my oldest created new cards first, but when I go to do my new cards everyday it shows me my most recently created? these are my settings below, someone pls help!

Your current New card gather of “Deck” proceeds through your decks/subdecks in order – but it should be showing you the earliest created cards in each deck. If you want to see the earliest created cards overall, regardless of deck, you want to change that to “Ascending” (not “Descending”).

If you’re seeing something different than that, it’s possible that you New-queue got out of order, that your creation dates don’t match up with what you expect, or that your bottom-of-the-queue number was reset somehow. A couple things to try –

- Tools \> Check Database
- In Browse, search `is:new -is:suspended` for the relevant deck/s. Sort that [by the “Created” column](https://docs.ankiweb.net/browsing.html#columns) and look at the “Due” column. Are those New-queue numbers in order?
