# V3 Scheduler Forces Sequential Insertion

The v3 scheduler will not assign new cards randomly, no matter what I do. Choosing “random” as the insertion order in the deck options results in cards being added sequentially according to the date created. When I revert to the v2 scheduler, however, the “random” insertion order option works fine.
