# Unable to sync anki desktop after update to V2.1.40

When I push the sync button, a network error occurs, either with a proxy or not.  
the screenshot of the error message has been attached.

Which version did you update from? 2.1.40 seems to be syncing fine on a Windows machine here. If you downgrade to 2.1.39 does the problem go away?

My problem has been solved after a few system restarting and without any other effort.
