# Unable to get Anki running on new Mac computer

Hello,

I’ve been using Anki for about a year and have a fairly big collection built up. I recently moved to a new Mac and installed Anki on it, but I keep getting this error whenever I open Anki up. I’ve tried various things from opening up my .colpkg file directly to “check database” to trying to import, but none of them work. This is the error I get -

Thank you for your response. That is what I was trying to do when running into that error. For some reason what finally worked is using an old version of Anki, uploading my cards and then upgrading to the latest version.
