# Syncing and logging in

I am trying to login to my anki account on my pc but encounter the following issue.

’ Syncing failed:

Error establishing a secure connection. This is usually caused by antivirus, firewall or VPN software, or problems with your ISP. (invalid cert) . ’

I wasnt connected to a vpn/

Can anyone help me please? it is urgent.

After trying the linked suggestions, if you need further assistance then please also provide some background information:

- What version of OS are you using.
- What version of Anki are you using?
- Was there some change to your setup around the time the problem began? (OS update, Anki update, network changes, etc.?)

(From the text of the error message, it seems like you might be using an old version of Anki?)
