Every time I try to scroll down on an answer card it starts automatically scrolling down so I can’t read anything. Notably, this does NOT happen as soon as the answer is revealed, only when I try to open extras or scroll down myself on the card. The same thing happens on the home page of the app.

This also only happens when connected to my 8BitDo remote. I tried the \* hd ir = answer \* fix I’ve seen on anki forums and this code doesn’t seem to exist in my card template.

I have also viewed the “The AnKing Note Types and Add-on” tutorial and did not find anything that helped my situation. If you have a specific timestamp for something I should try that would be helpful.

This problem only started recently when after restarting and reconnecting my 8BitDo remote. I am on macOS 15.1.1

I have poked around in my Controller Options and can’t figure out what is causing the program, but I think one of the default settings here is the problem. I just can’t figure out which one it is.

Using `<hr id=answer>` is the right way to mark the beginning of your answer. There’s no _other_ special code needed – it will work on every card template. [Field Replacements - Anki Manual](https://docs.ankiweb.net/templates/fields.html)

But it also sounds like this isn’t happening when you flip the card over – just when you start interacting with the JS elements on the card. For that, it probably needs to be fixed in those card templates.

You can try posting those here (front, back, and styling, in 3 separate code-blocks) and see if anyone can help you diagnose the problem. But for AnKing note types, their forum is probably the best place to ask since they are already the most familiar with the templates – [https://community.ankihub.net/](https://community.ankihub.net/) .
