hi.. is there a way to add row number in browser window.. im using advanced browser add on. but cudnt see the exact note position like at what note I have clicked out 1000 notes. is it 100th or 256th. just want to know how to add serial number or row number in browser window..
I propose this option:
Typically, the number is useless in databases, since any sorting in the opposite direction will change everything. For the same reason, an error number in a program is useless if it’s specified as a line number, since any changes to the code will not return the correct position.
However, if you don’t change the sorting, but simply need to know how many lines have already been processed, and as a percentage, I think this would be useful for everyone.
Otherwise, I simply create an “N” field, and no matter what sorting I set, I always know what card number it is; I can display this field when viewing the card.
Updated the add-on.
Now the window title will show the current row number in the table (and the percentage of the total).

awesome bro. thank u
Bro, can I ask one favor, please? In the previous advanced browser I was using, the browser window’s right sidebar could be extended to any width.
Now I’m using your advanced browser, but I’m not able to adjust its width to the amount I need. Like, I want to drag the editing sidebar on the right all the way to the extreme left, but it seems fixed at about 30% on the right.
If I make the browser window occupy 100% of my MacBook screen, then it has adequate width. I can drag the boundaries to the size I need.
But if I make the browser window occupy only 50% of the screen (sort of a multi-window thing), I’m not able to drag the boundary to the required amount. The area appears smaller. Can you kindly fix this?
Which platform should I use to request your help with this properly?
This is the standard algorithm. This is how I have it on Windows. Mine also locks at about 30%, but it’s not a percentage; it depends on the top elements. I have the same problem: since I added a lot of buttons, the middle part of the window can’t move all the way, otherwise the buttons will disappear. That’s how it’s set up by default. I have fields displayed at the bottom, so it doesn’t really interfere. But I use a button to hide the left sidebar.
I tried these buttons & saw what it did
- the eye button for preview - this option is already there in fields, cards , preview
- i symbol- card info (not much use for me)
- search symbol- didnt understand what it did. search bar is above also
- undo symbol- didnt understand what it did.
- pencil symbol- didnt understand what it did.
- side arrow symbol- goes to previous edited cards - cud be useful.
can u kindly tell me how to remove or disable these buttons. so that I can adjust boundary please..
There’s no button visibility setting yet. We need to either implement it or make it possible to drag them as needed.
As for what the buttons do, everything is described in the addon description.
- This selects all selected items and then displays them.
- Yes, there is, but it has a different hotkey assigned, and the information window has been slightly redesigned.
- Search is simply a button, since to refresh the search bar, you have to go there and press “Enter.” The search symbol—I didn’t understand what it does.
- There is a search bar, but if you delete everything from it, you won’t know what you’re currently viewing.
- Undo (refresh) symbol. Hover your cursor over the key, and there will be a hint about what it is.
- Pencil symbol—if you display card fields and are on the desired field in the table, pressing F2 will take you to the edit field, but not directly to the table. This is similar to Excel.
The arrow symbol on the side is a navigation through the search history; read up on it; you can permanently save the positions you need in the decks you’re working with in the history.
ok bro.. THANKS
…
waiting for u to do something to drag the boundary..
