# Right clicking on any field in the add window produces error

I followed the troubleshooting guide but the error did not go away after running in safe mode too.

The qt5 version has a lot of problems. Please use the qt6 version instead, which doesn’t have this issue your facing and which doesn’t have several other issues either, like those:

Thank you.
I tried installing qt6 at first. I am using MX Linux and it doesn’t seem to run after installation.
Is there a fix for this?
If not I will change to something that works like linux mint.

Maybe there is a fix. Did you run anki qt6 in a terminal? Were there any errors?

after installaton, the app appeared in the “start menu”. I clicked, but nothing opened.
In terminal, I typed “anki” to open it. did not open (i dont remember what error I got). I did some troubleshooting, opened in safe mode but nothing.
I will try to backup and reinstall qt6 version now to recheck. I’ll share the error.

I got the following error:

Can you install the equivalents for the requirements of those libs (not sure what the package names are for MX linux)?

These are the same for MX linux, as it is also a debian based distro.
