Not receiving review sentences for a week

I’ve been experiencing an issue for about a week now. I used to receive sentences to review every day, but recently, no new sentences have been showing up for review, even though I’ve been using the app daily as usual. I’ve checked to make sure there are no suspended cards and that the deck settings seem normal, with no apparent limits that would prevent reviews. Still, nothing shows up.

Are there sentence cards which are due? You can search for the sentence cards and see when they are due next.

To be clear, are you talking about new cards or review cards? There is a distinction we make here. Read Getting Started - Anki Manual.

If it’s review cards, do what SuhasK asked. But normally you shouldn’t worry much about when Anki shows you what card.

If they are new cards, look at Deck Options - Anki Manual.

Just to clarify: I’m talking about review cards, not new ones. I used to get review sentences every day, but for the past week, none have been showing up even though I use the app daily and haven’t changed any settings intentionally.

As SuhasK suggested, I searched for is:due and it returned no cards. I also checked the deck options, and the daily limits seem normal (I haven’t hit the maximum reviews per day).

Does this mean Anki is just waiting until the next due date, and there’s really nothing to review for now? Or could something else be wrong?

Thanks again for the help!

Most probably this. The intervals keep growing so what was frequent a few months ago would soon become rare.

The search is for cards that are currently due. If your sentence cards are from a particular note type, you can search note:name_of_note_type, or if a particular card type, card:card_type_number. Read Searching - Anki Manual.

If you want to change how frequently cards appear, you can do that through deck options. Perhaps, the easiest way would be to turn on FSRS, and change desired retention and use the simualtor to gauge how workload looks like in the future. For reference see Deck Options - Anki Manual.

If you use this without specifying a note, you will get all cards of this cardtypenumber from all notetypes.
