# New tag-system for ANKI mobile

Hello,

I’d like to suggest an improvement for the Anki Mobile app that would make tag navigation and selection much more efficient. Currently, scrolling through a long list of tags to find specific ones can be tedious. It would be incredibly helpful if tags could be sorted alphabetically or if we could have a search bar to quickly locate a specific tag when using custom study options.

Additionally, a collapsible system—similar to the one used for decks—would be very useful for managing tags. This way, users could expand or collapse groups of tags, making it much easier to find and organize relevant tags, especially in large collections.

Since that’s a recent response, I would estimate that “a ways off” is definitely more than a year. I couldn’t say anything more definite than that.
