# Need Anki Web Restored

I just lost data from anki web by syncing my desktop version of anki. Is there anyway my data from anki web could be restored from the server? The miss sync occurred this morning (07/29/2025) at about 8:30am ET.

Did you had a backup, they are made automatically

It was on anki web so I am having a difficult time locating a back up.

If you had the most updated version of your collection on AnkiWeb, and you overwrote it by doing a one-way sync and uploading your local collection, you won’t be able to restore from a backup yourself.
AnkiWeb creates server-side backups periodically, but we don’t have a way for you to choose a date and time to restore to. The most recent backup was created several days ago – see [timestamp localized for your time zone](https://dateful.com/convert/utc?t=0109&d=2025-07-25) .
So, you should consider – how long before this mis-sync had you last synced with desktop Anki? If you synced _since_ that backup, I’m sure you don’t want me to restore it. But _please confirm if you want me to_.
It’s best not to let your devices get very far out of sync, and be very careful when you are doing a one-way sync. Read the warning messages carefully and make sure you’re syncing in the correct direction.
