# Issue with changing card type

Reproduction steps:

1. Browse collections (shortcut: B)
2. Chose 1 particular card of collection
3. Right click it and Change Note Type (shortcut CMD+Shift+M)
4. Chose new card type and click OK

Actual results: In the table of collection there is no change for card (preview is correct until we relaunch anki)

Expected results: There is change for card column in the table and preview of this new card type even after relaunching Anki.

Version 2.1.30 (06a69c25)  
Python 3.8.0 Qt 5.14.2 PyQt 5.14.2

I guess you mean “note type“.  
The card column may not change if the new note type has a card type with the same name as the old note type.  
You may not notice a change in the card if you converted it to a note type similar or identical to the old type.

I think all of these depend on your note types and card templates.
