Issue with Anki: Previous Flashcard's Text Staying on Back Field After Adding a New Card

Hi everyone,

I’ve encountered an issue while creating new flashcards on Anki. When I type in the front and back fields of a new card and click “add,” the flashcard is created successfully. However, when I start working on the next flashcard, the text I wrote on the back of the previous card still remains in the back field of the new one.

(Since new users can’t add attachments, I’m not able to attach the video where I am experiencing the issue.)

Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions on how to fix it?
TIA.

Just restarted my MacBook to see if the issue still persists and yes it does. My Anki is on the latest version (24.06.3).

Perhaps you have unwittingly turned on the ‘sticky’ button (F9)? (It is the little ‘pin’ on the screenshot below, to the right of the ‘< >’ button (toggle HTML editor).
