# Issue with anki opening in multiple windows on Mac

Recently updated to 2.1.52 from 2.1.49. I’m used to the browse and add windows opening as tabs while in fullscreen mode. After updating, they open as separate windows. It’s been super annoying having to switch screens all the time. Anyone know how to revert this back? “Prefer tabs” is turned on in my computer settings. Thank you!
