# Is there a way to create a note that creates cards based on the amount of fields that have data?

I have a note type with 10 fields that creates 10 cards. Sometimes I fill only part of them. The problem with this is that I get cards even on the empty fields. Is there a way to prevent this?

Sure, you can use conditional replacements. See the manual entry at the link below. About half way down the conditional replacement section, the manual explains how to use that for conditionally generating cards.
