I have tried everything to download Anki on my hp chromebook, but it is not working. I put my Anki downloaded file into my Linux folder but when I go to my Linux terminal and I try to code nothing happens and it always says error. Does anyone know step by step instructions on how to download Anki and what to type into the Linux terminal penguin?

The guide that is often recommended for Chromebook installs – [Installing Anki on Chromebook (Linux) 2023 Updated Guide](https://www.reddit.com/r/Anki/comments/14sblet/installing_anki_on_chromebook_linux_2023_updated/) . However the install process has changed significantly since that was written, so you might need to start with a pre-25.07 version and get that working first. If you can install Android apps on your Chromebook, you might have better luck with AnkiDroid instead – [Anki - powerful, intelligent flashcards](https://apps.ankiweb.net/#downloads) .
