# Incorrect text formatting copied

I have formatted text.  
In HTML it is like this:

```auto
<div><b><span style=" background-color: rgb(126, 159, 195);">&nbsp; hello olerd</span></b></div>

```

But if I copy it from the ANKI editor, it doesn’t copy the whole design and it comes out like this:

```auto
<b>&nbsp; hello olerd</b>

```

In the past it wasn’t like that for me.

What is the reason for this, and how should it be solved?

If I recall correctly, the background color is stripped when pasting between fields, because the red background of a duplicate field was getting copied when it shouldn’t have been.

Today a double field uses red background ???

Yes, the change in the way it’s shown in .55 may make preserving the background possible again. I’ll give it a try in the next beta.
