# Import without losing styling

Hello,  
I am new here so my question might seem a little banal but,  
I regularly import decks with preset styling and the same card type as I use. Every time I do, my styling for the type resets to the one of the imported deck. Is there any way to import cards without formatting, or to set a styling as persistent so I can avoid rewriting it every time?

If the deck author has modified the note type more recently than you, it will be updated on import, and there is currently not an option to change this. Maybe the special fields add-on has an option to prevent it?

Special fields has an ‘update styling’ box that seems to work. Thank you a lot!
