I can not create decks or type by typing Native language

I cannot create decks or cards using our native language, which is සින්හල (Sinhala). it is working on Anki android app and Web version , but not the software (installed on windows 11 )

when I type any Sinhala word i get repeated Sinhala letter , for example සසසසස like this

the issue is in software, because our native Sinhala language works on Office, Notepad, or applications (I have checked bunch of installed software).

I don’t know how to input data, but I simply copied and pasted your symbols. This is a screenshot from Windows 11 installed in a virtual environment. I have a beta version of Anki on my working Windows 10, and everything pastes fine. It’s possible there’s something wrong with the fonts in your operating system.

Yes, Copy and paste works

but not working when typing; that is the issue I am struggling with.

I installed the Sinhala language on my Windows 10 PC, which has a beta version of Anki. Input works fine. If yours works fine, but input doesn’t work, that’s odd. Perhaps the components are misconfigured, or your Windows settings aren’t set to Unicode, but to your language code page? Someone else might suggest some solutions.
