Huge delays being added to learning cards

The attached screencast shows me choosing ‘Good’ (1 minute) on a learning card, then Anki showing me the “Congratulations! You’ve finished this deck for now” screen, plus “The next learning card will be due in 25 minutes.” I’ve seen Anki refuse to show a learning card for up to an hour.

Why might this be happening? I haven’t noticed this with review cards. I haven’t been changing my learning steps at all recently.

I’m using the v1 scheduler on Anki 2.1.40 on Linux.

You can try posting the Card Info for that card and your Deck Options, including learning steps. But the v1 scheduler hasn’t been supported for years, so I think it’s unlikely you’ll find much help with it.
