Hello. I’ve recently updated anki (09/26), and now my clozes double-bold text which is already bold. If I have text which is already bolded inside a cloze, it reveals as much bigger, instead of remaining as a normal-sized bold. If normal font is 400, bold is 600, this double bold is an 800.
I cannot change the style in the style code section to remove font:bold in clozes in all cards, as some cards require unbolded text to turn bolded when revealed.
To summarize, how can I ensure that any text, bold or not, that goes into a cloze comes out as just bold?
There are 3 Styling and formatting places that could be coming from, and they interact.
The styling for your note type, where classes of formatting can be defined overall for all of the cards, or for specific cards, or specific parts of cards.
The card templates themselves call those classes defined in styling, but they can also contain formatting for specific field replacements.
Formatting in the text of a specific note is controlled in the note editor by the editing toolbar. You might need to open the HTML view (click < > above the field) to see it in the field.
It sounds like you’ve already checked #1, but you need to know what is going on at the others to know what might fix this.
