How to get an old backup from Anki web? / Media disappeared

Hi there,

my current anki web decks have lost all of their media files. I do know that I could solve this problem if I HAD the files, but I don’t have them anymore as anki web was my backup for my old laptop (which is not accessible). In another thread someone said anki web may be able to recover an older version that still contains the media.

Does someone have an idea how to do that?

I’d be so happy to fix this… it’s five years of Uni … just gone…

You don’t appear to have deleted any media files recently. Your account did expire back in 2020 - if that’s what you’re referring to, please see AnkiWeb account removal - Frequently Asked Questions

Thank you so much for the reply. Ops, I wasn’t aware expired in 2020. My data is still there, only the media files are missing. Do you have any other ideas?

I’m afraid as mentioned on that link, when your account data expires, it is not possible for us to recover it. There are no deletion records in your account, which indicates you did not upload and then later delete any files since that time.
