# How to default IO 'Hide X Guess X' setting?

Is there a way to change the default setting from ‘Hide All, Guess One’ to ‘Hide One, Guess One’? I am using built in Image Occlusion on Anki for Mac, v24.11.

As long as you keep the “Add Note” window open, IO should stick with the last mode you had selected, but I don’t think there’s a way to change the default mode overall for the app.

[So I’m going to move this to the Suggestions category.]
