# How do I remove this annoying popup?

every time I log in, I get this annoying pop up. “if the existing instance of Anki is not responding, please close it using your task mananger?” how do I remove it?

What exactly do you mean by “log in”? Do you mean “start Anki”? Do you mean “log in to my computer”? Does Anki fail to start after that?

Yes, sorry I meant start anki. Every time I click on the anki icon to start it up, I get this aggressive pop up.

Are you able to start and use Anki? Does restarting your computer help things?
