# Hiding numbers above 'show answer' button

Hello,

As the title suggests, I’ve searched thoroughly through the ‘preferences’ and ‘view’ menus but can’t seem to figure out how to hide the ![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex002/uploads/anki2/original/3X/e/c/ec72db6f1151dd953a7814316411bf527a030c63.png) above the ‘show answer’ button.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

P.S. Watching the slow countdown (one by one) while grinding through 150 cards feels a bit soul-crushing—it brings back teenage memories of working on a supermarket checkout, where I’d cover the clock on the screen to block out time.

Tools → Preferences → Review

Uncheck “Show remaining card count”

On the bright side, it feels great when the count nears 20 and you’ll finish in a few minutes.
