When I double-click on the Anki icon, this error message pops up. I have tried restarting my M4 Macbook multiple times and deleting and redownloading multiple Anki versions and it hasn’t worked.
Try everything suggested in the other recent threads about that error on macOS. Search results for 'sigkill order:latest' - Anki Forums
Problems like this are why many people recommend switching to GNU/Linux. I prefer Arch Linux personally. GNU/Linux makes many things easier. It’s user‑friendly, easy to set up, and well documented, which is great for beginners. New users don’t have to spend hours figuring out basic functions. You won’t have to jump through the hoops common on macOS and Windows because things just work.
@asb824 Please ensure you have the latest launcher version, and then try removing your .local/share/uv folder. To see it:
- open Finder
- Use the Go→Go To Folder menu item
- Type in .local/share
