# Empty learning steps

Hi,

is it a good Idea to leave the learning steps blank?

I tried it once but then encounterd this [reddit](https://www.reddit.com/r/Anki/comments/1h99382/stop_leaving_your_learning_steps_blank/) post so i stopped it and reverted it to 10min.  
In Ankings new settings [video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uo-qQvOZDfg) he mentioned it as viable.

Looking forward for any opinions and experience with this. 🙂

(maybe other people already asked this before sorry for that)
