Hello! I really want to convert to the real anki, I have tried a few times to use the copycat importer but the format of a lot of the cards doesn’t work and they now just aren’t importing at all. I get this message.
I have a lot of image cards so I am wondering if that is the problem?

Hi, I can look into this more if you’re fine with sharing your AnkiPro login with me privately.
Please the Tools > Copycat Importer > Import from AnkiApp option instead and follow the instructions there.

Hey Abdo, first off, massive thanks to you for develping this ,amazing ,i used it and transferred all my 1678 cards from AnkiPro(Noji) to Anki flashcards app, however the written material on the card is the only bit that got transferred ,any hack to transfer the images across as well?Im studying for a major exam and would really like to carry the cards on my ipad , the AnkiPro app is so expensive and unnecessessary!

Are these image occlusion cards? Importing this type of cards is not supported yet.
Hey abdo ,no they’re not occlusion images, just regular images..no worries if they’re not supported
Normal images should work, unless if something changed recently. If you’re not getting any errors, you can share your account with me privately and I’ll take a look.
Hi, thank you Abdo for all the amazing work you have done. I’ve already succesfully used Copycat Importer but now it seems not to work. I’ve logged in correctly in Noji but after I’ve clicked on import the downloading bar appears but then it doesn’t download nothing. I hope you can help me, thank you.

Hi, I’m using Noji (the old anki.pro). I wanted to switch to the og anki but I can’t export the desks on there, I keep having problems with the importer. I thought that maybe the problem is the images, because all of the answers to my cards are screens. I don’t know, I can’t figure out the problem…

I used the copycat importer tool in August to move my AnkiPro (Noji) cards to Anki. I have been using the cards almost daily since, and have had no issues. Recently, all my the cards from my imported decks were suddenly gone (the decks I created on Anki still had all cards). In troubleshooting, I replaced all decks with a backup from my desktop from a date that I knew all cards were still present. Still, all previously imported decks were empty. After working on this for hours, I finally decided to re-import from Noji via the copycat tool. The decks imported…but they were all empty. No cards. In Noji, the cards are all decks still have all cards. I do have my Anki desktop linked to AnkiWeb and Ankimobile.
What do you think is going on? Is this a purposeful bug from Noji? What can I do?

If the decks on Noji became empty, then it’s definitely a problem on their side. Could well be on purpose, or they simply messed up something badly.
If you have decks showing properly on Noji but still imported as empty cards in Anki, that’s probably an issue in the add-on. If that’s the case for some decks, I can look into it if you share your account with me privately.

Thank you for your prompt reply. Yes, the cards still show appropriately in Noji. In Anki, the imported decks have no cards. The decks I made in Anki are fine.
Do you need access to Anki, Noji or both?
