# Cloze not working

I don’t know what happened but I think I messed up the coding of the Cloze add-on somehow and now my cloze deletion doesn’t work anymore. I have 600 cards and I’m stressed. I can’t even use the cloze deletion when making new cards.

The warning is telling you to use the cloze notetype to make clozes

idk why you are using an cloze add-on, Anki provides Cloze note type in Tools \> Manage note types \> Add: Cloze (you should had one by default tho)

It was working before, and then all of a sudden it stopped

Check which note type you are using

Oh wait i figured it out. Is there a faster way to convert 600 cards to the correct way. I have a mixture of basic and cloze.

It isn’t really a problem to be honest, tried finding some cloze → basic add-ons but i don’t think you can convert them without doing manual work since they are different fields (Cloze use the first field, while Basic uses 2)
