I’m trying to download the ankihub add on in the anki app on my mac (sonoma version 14.8.7), at first I wasn’t succeeding, but then I found a link and got it. But now I can’t log in to ankihub through the anki app. Another thing, safari doesn’t open ankiweb net, I can only access it through Chrome. I believe the system is not recognizing anki for some reason that I don’t know how to fix

I appreciate you trying to keep the issues separate, but I merged these together to give you some basic information that hopefully will help.
The best place to get support with AnkiHub-specific issues is AnkiHub’s Support Community – https://community.ankihub.net/ . Make sure you tell them exactly what add-on you’re trying to use (a link would help). They should be able to help you figure out if you even need an add-on, since you’re using a recent version of Anki that can connect to AnkiHub via Preferences > Third-Party Services
As far as AnkiWeb – there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be able to reach AnkiWeb in the Safari browser. Are you trying to get to https://ankiweb.net/decks to study? Are you getting any errors?
I see that you have created an AnkiWeb account, but you haven’t set up desktop Anki to sync with it yet. Be sure to do that – Syncing with AnkiWeb - Anki Manual – or there won’t be anything on the website for you to study.
Addressing just the Safari issue, not any of the other issues…
What error message or behavior do you see when you try to access the https://ankiweb.net/ website using the Safari browser on your Mac?
Since you say you are able to access the website just fine using the Chrome browser on your Mac, this doesn’t seem to be a general computer or network issue. Instead, it seems to be a Safari-specific issue.
You might want to try clearing the Safari cookies/cache for the Anki websites. I’m not sure if the Sonoma version of Safari might have a slightly different UI, but on Tahoe the way to do it is:
Safari menu > Settings > Privacy > Manage Website Data… > (search for “anki”)
Remove data for the ankiweb.net, ankiuser.net, and ankihub.net sites (and any other sites you think might be relevant).
You might want to try quitting and restarting Safari, in case it might help.
You might want to try rebooting your Mac, in case it might help.
Edit: Added: Instead of clearing cookies/cache immediately, you can also try using a Private window in Safari to access the https://ankiweb.net/ website, to see if the behavior is any different. (Safari Private windows do not use the existing, stored cookies/cache, so using Private windows can be a quicker way of testing for cookie/cache issues.)
That’s the error message that shows up when I try to acess ankiweb. The same thing happens when I try the private window. Also removed all anki website datas from safari settings but it keeps happening
I can’t sync to ankiweb neither. I first tried to contact ankihub forum, but they said it seems to be something out of their control, it seems to be something with anki itself
That’s a common error that just means something on your device or in your internet connection is preventing you from reaching AnkiWeb. Start by checking these things – Error establishing a secure connection when syncing - Anki FAQs (and don’t overlook iCloud private relay, since that’s basically a VPN).
I’ve read that incorrect/stale system time settings can sometimes cause these Safari secure connection issues. I’m not sure how common the problem is, but it might be something to try:
System Settings… > General > Date & Time
If “Set time and date automatically” and/or “Set time zone automatically using your current location” are enabled, disable both of them.
Set the time, date, and time zone manually.
Restart your Mac and test whether the Safari issue is still seen.
(You can go back and re-enable the automatic time/date/timezone settings after you’ve finished this testing, if you want.)
