Volunteers work on whatever they like and you can’t really force it to happen. Besides, there are already perfectly working solutions to this problem such as these addons [Google Search](https://www.google.com/search?q=anki+remove+nbsp+addon&oq=anki+remove+nbsp+addon&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOdIBCDYxNjFqMGoxqAIAsAIA&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8).
