# \[Bug\] App crashes when copying & pasting

I encountered this issue a long time ago, and it still persists in the latest version. The crash occurs when I try to copy texts from other sources and paste them into Anki while creating new cards. It’s not entirely clear that this is the root cause because the crash doesn’t happen immediately after pasting. However, I’ve never experienced the app crashing in any other situations except when I start copying and pasting – the app unexpectedly quits again!

I don’t see any add-on which could be triggering, but could you try doing addon step from troubleshooting just in case

Please try disabling add-ons and resetting window sizes as mentioned in the troubleshooting guide, to see if that helps. Do you use any third-party tools that modify the clipboard, like a clipboard manager?
